Brandon Williams has been urged to leave Manchester United by a premier league agent. The talented 20 years old English defender enjoyed a successful breakthrough season as he featured 36 times at Old Trafford playing as an understudy to the rejuvenated Luke Shaw, but he now looks set for a spell on the fringes after United’s recent transfer business.
The left back hasn’t even made the substitutes’ bench in the English Premier League, and the deadline day move for Alex Telles is unlikely to help matters.
The left-back has been linked with a loan move to the south coast following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s signing of Alex Telles. Speaking to The Athletic, the unnamed agent has stated that the 20-year-old would be “absolutely mental” not to join a side like Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team.
Southampton were one of the clubs to have enquired about the possibility of taking Williams on loan late in the summer transfer window, and now an agent has urged the youngster to consider such a proposal.
“Younger lads that didn’t go on loan will force a move,” the unnamed Premier League agent told The Athletic. “The Carabao Cup is out of the window for the next two months as the rounds have already been played.”
“Brandon Williams doesn’t want to be No 3 left-back at United.
“He would be absolutely mental to not go somewhere like Leeds or Southampton. Or a top-half Championship club.”
