Premier League giants Arsenal have contacted Real Madrid about the availability of defender Eder Militao. Militao made his big-money move from Porto last summer but has endured a disappointing debut at the Bernabeu.
Spanish tabloid Don Balon claims that the Gunners are hopeful that Madrid will be willing to entertain offers for the defender. Before his move to Real Madrid, Militao was considered as one of the best young centre backs in Europe.
The Brazilian enjoyed his spell at Porto and was seen as the long-term replacement for legendary captain Sergio Ramos.
However, he has only made 13 appearances this season but is still considered as an important first-team player. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his defence over the summer and Militao is seen as one that could make the difference at the Emirates.
The Gunners could have a bit of competition for the defender with the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham interested in the Brazilian international.
