Manchester City concerned about manager future

Manchester City are worried about the future of manager Pep Guardiola following his failure to sign a new deal. Guardiola is regarded as one of the best coaches in the world and the Citizens are looking to tie to a long term deal.

The Spanish tactician has just 12 months left on his existing contract and there are worries that next campaign could be his last at the Manchester club. Manchester City are currently embroiled in a court case with UEFA with regards a two-year Champions League ban.

This has kept a shadow of uncertainty within the club with Guardiola not wanting to commit beyond his current contract. Despite this, the news from the heralded manager has been positive in recent days.

The former Barcelona in a recent interview expressed his wish to complete his current deal with the Etihad outfit. : “I’m incredibly excited for this part of the season, and the next one.“I am incredibly satisfied to be in this club and to try to do our best.

Guardiola has been successful during his time at the club and would be a major blow if he leaves before the end of his deal.
