Manchester United have delivered Juventus an ultimatum over their interest in Paul Pogba. Juventus have identified Manchester United‘s Paul Pogba as their key summer midfield target and Paulo Dybala could be used as part of a swap deal.
United’s French midfielder has endured a topsy-turvy spell at Old Trafford since rejoining the Premier League club in 2016 from Juventus, where he won four Serie A titles.
Reports in Italy claim that Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo spent several hours on Thursday discussing several transfer targets and outgoings with the club’s directors, with Dybala being named as the key departure this summer.
With new Juve coach Andrea Pirlo requesting the return of Pogba this summer, the Bianconeri are preparing a major push to make it happen. And according to Tuttosport, the Serie A champions could convince Manchester United to give up their star midfielder by offering striker Dybala as part of the deal.
It would see Pirlo reunited with Pogba, the pair having played together in Juventus’ midfield for three seasons between 2012 and 2015.
They won three successive Serie A titles and also helped Juve reach the final of the Champions League in 2015, where they were beaten by Real Madrid.
Argentine forward Dybala was recently crowned ‘Serie A MVP’ after leading Juventus to yet another Scudetto title. Tuttosport says United are aware of Juve’s plans and have informed intermediaries Pogba will only leave for Turin on one condition. United are demanding Paulo Dybala be included in any offer for the France international.
