Reports from Spain claims that Manchester United have failed with a €100m for teenage star Ansu Fati. It is reported that the Red Devils had tabled a bid for the Spanish youth star but was promptly rejected by Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu.
The Catalan giants are facing financial troubles with their bloated wage bill leading to friction between the players and club some months back. Although the players agreed a 70% wage cut there are reports that the loss of finances due to the pandemic could lead to massive sales in the summer.
The likes of Phillipe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Ousmane Dembele have been touted as potential exits. Fati is regarded as the next big star from the La Masia stables and United were keen to secure his services.
Spanish tabloid Sport revealed that the player has informed super-agent Jorge Mendes of his wish to remain at Barcelona. Fati future appears to be secured at Barcelona for the foreseeable future.
